Bill Adams
Dr. Bill Adams is an epidemiologist, medical informatician, and practicing pediatrician at Boston Medical Center (BMC). He also currently serves as Director of BU’s Clinical and Translational Science Institute, Clinical Research Informatics for Boston University and Director of Child Health Informatics for the Department of Pediatrics at the Chobanian and Avedisian School of Medicine/BMC.
For the past two decades, Dr. Adam’s primary research has been and continues to be focused on developing and evaluating information technology (IT)-based solutions for improving the quality of health and healthcare for children and families. His focuses include the child health Electronic Health Record, patient-centered IT, and clinical data warehousing for quality improvement and health disparities research. He has extensive experience in software development. including programming of the first EHR at BMC and development of multiple patient-centered telephony projects, as well as the management and use of large clinical data sets for quality reporting and research. Dr. Adams seeks to create and evaluate integrated health information systems that are equitable, useable, and effective.
