We use funds to support historic preservation, affordable housing, open space, and recreation.

FY2026 COMMUNITY PRESERVATION ELIGIBILITY Determination FORM

This CPA project Eligibility Determination Form is the required first step to applying for Community Preservation Funds for historic preservation, affordable housing, open space, and outdoor recreation capital projects.

Please note: The Eligibility Determination Form is not a final application. Candidates deemed eligible by the Community Preservation Office will be invited to submit an application for their proposed projects.

Interested in applying? Submit our rolling Eligibility Determination Form as soon as possible to start a conversation. The deadline to submit an eligibility determination form for the FY2026 funding round is Friday, August 29, 2025 at 5 p.m.

NEW FY2023-FY2027 COMMUNITY PRESERVATION PLAN

Updated: The Community Preservation Committee has approved the New Community Preservation Plan. This plan will help guide the City of Boston's allocation of Community Preservation Act (CPA) funds for fiscal years 2023 through 2027. You can also learn more about the committee's new goals and evaluation criteria. The plan now highlights the program's first seven funding rounds FY2018-FY2024.
