Carney Hospital Resources

Carney Hospital in Dorchester is closed. 

Since Carney Hospital in Dorchester is now closed, people need to find other options for healthcare. Call the Massachusetts Department of Public Health for help at 617-468-2189 (Monday - Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.) or visit mass.gov/StewardResources.

There is no emergency or urgent care at the former Carney Hospital. If you or a loved one are experiencing a medical emergency, call 9-1-1.

For Carney Patients and Local Residents: 

  • The Seton Medical Office Building (2110 Dorchester Avenue, Dorchester, MA 02124) located on the back side of the Carney hospital is still providing outpatient services. You can make an appointment with your provider.
  • People who see healthcare providers at Carney Hospital are encouraged to reach out to their provider to confirm the status of their providers and future appointments.
  • Carney patients seeking new providers should request their medical records from the hospital or their provider. Patients should be receiving information about retrieving records directly from Carney.
