Creative Aging Program

The Creative Aging Program (CAP) expands creative arts education for older adults, broadens awareness of teaching artists, and demonstrates the benefits and efficacy of integrating arts into older adult education.

Drawing

Learn the basics of drawing with a twist with visual artist Silvina Ibañez! Videos in Spanish with English subtitles. 

For these lessons you will need: a designated warm-up sketchbook or paper that can be folded in half/split in half for right and left hand exercises, a pencil, white paper, an eraser, and a sharpener.

Collage

Tap into memories and learn the step-by-step process to compose meaningful stories through collage with artist Krina Patel! 

For all or most episodes you will need: a writing utensil, paper or a notebook, glue, scissors, thick paper, magazines or newspapers, and photocopies of personal documents that you want included in your collage.

Ballroom

Learn social ballroom dancing and movement forms including gyrokinesis, creative choreography, chair yoga, and family dance with Michael Winward and guest dancers! Some lessons require the use of a chair.
