To facilitate better northbound bus service, we are investigating a potential outbound bus lane. This lane would not impact existing parking or the bike lane. We want to hear from you about this idea!

The Healthy Streets program is focused on making changes to Boston's streets to support a healthy reopening and an equitable recovery. The program includes three major elements:

• Outdoor seating and pick-up zones for restaurants and small businesses
• Quick-build bike lanes for safe and connected bike routes
• Expanded bus stops and bus-only lanes to improve social distancing on transit services

Join members of the Franklin Park Action Plan design team for a virtual community workshop on the progress of the Action Plan. During this meeting we will offer a project update and share analysis findings, review feedback from the community survey that many of you took this past winter, and discuss the revised timeline of the project and next steps. The meeting will allow time for Questions + Answers. 

We know schedules are hard to manage these days, so we have decided to host a daytime workshop and a night time workshop in the hopes of accommodating more attendees. Each workshop will cover the same material.

This workshop will also be followed up with more opportunities throughout July for people to provide feedback, ask questions, and inform the next steps of the project. The City will continue to accept comments about the Franklin Park Action Plan at the project email address: lauren.bryant@boston.gov. 

Join us for a conversation with the Boston Parks and Recreation Department (BPRD) and their team from Stoss to:

1. get a review of the March 2019 plan
2. find out what they've learned from further engineering studies and public comments, and
3. hear where the design is headed next.

The presentation will lay out the vision created last year, the feedback the team has received to date, and explain important new design criteria for building a welcoming and resilient park for the future. There will be opportunities to provide feedback and ask questions.

The virtual presentation is free, open to the public, and available via Zoom and by phone. A recorded version will be available on the Moakley Park website. All participants must register in advance. A link will be sent directly to attendees the evening before with specific information on how to join each platform. (Please note, attendees will not be visible in the recording.)

Join us at an online community engagement meeting for the upcoming park renovations including playground, water play, courts, and natural areas at Malcolm X Park. We are trying new online engagement strategies in addition to familiar approaches.
