Daniel Bryan

Strategic Partnerships Manager

Daniel Bryan first worked for the City of Boston as a member of the Mayor's Youth Council while he was in high school from 2017 to 2019. He is a Charlestown native and current resident of Jamaica Plain, as well as a proud graduate of Boston Public Schools. He attended Suffolk University while working for the City, graduating with a B.A. in philosophy in 2023.

Daniel began his career with the City administering the MBTA Youth Pass reduced fare CharlieCard program, where he developed a new application system that was later adapted by the MBTA for use system-wide. In 2021, he became the coordinator of Youth Lead the Change, Boston's $1 million per year youth participatory budgeting program. In this role he worked to improve youth access to the program and implement winning projects in partnership with City departments.

In September of 2022, Daniel became Coordinator of the City’s Mayor's Youth Council. In this role, he was deeply involved in restructuring the Mayor's Youth Council and supporting its transition into the newly founded Office of Youth Engagement and Advancement (OYEA).

Daniel moved into his current role at OYEA as Strategic Partnerships Manager in September of 2024, where he oversees the OYEA Partner Network and Professional Development Series and continues to manage the Youth Lead the Change program. He remains a strong believer in the power of youth leadership and is passionate about strengthening democratic decision making in government, especially through participatory budgeting.

In his free time, Daniel enjoys biking and exploring Boston's parks and urban wilds, as well as sailing at Courageous Sailing Center on Boston Harbor, where he served as an instructor in the youth program for eight years.
