Branches of Military Service Flag Celebration at City Hall
Military flags are a beautiful reminder of the rich, dynamic history of the United States.
A unique flag has been thoughtfully designed for every branch of the armed forces. Symbols representing strength, power, and the trials and tribulations of the men and women who fight to protect our country are included in each flag. These flags are proudly displayed on ships, bases, camps, academies, and during special occasions. They represent pride, honor, integrity, bravery, and tradition.
The Flag day is mainly observed to serve three basic purposes:
- rehabilitation of battle casualties
- welfare of serving personnel and their families, and
- resettlement and welfare of ex-servicemen and their families.
You can learn more about the history of each flag representing each branch of the U.S. military.
