Support Community Gardens in Neighborhoods with Limited Access to Affordable Food
Status: In Progress
Original Proposal
This proposal offered grants to nonprofit organizations to build community gardens on underutilized land for public access and use. It prioritized areas where people have limited access to affordable, nutritious food. This project is creating a healthier environment, beautifying the community, addressing food insecurity, and building camaraderie among residents. Garden operations were required to have a robust rodent management plan.
