Roger Roberts

Program Manager, Parks and Recreation

Originally from Puerto Rico, I made Boston my home at the age of 12. South Boston became my stomping ground, attending South Boston High School and excelling in basketball. The sport paved my way to Hofstra University through a well-deserved basketball scholarship. For 23 years, I dedicated myself to BCYF as a Youth Worker, simultaneously coaching teams in BNBL and other leagues across Boston. My passion for mentoring extended to kids throughout the entire city.

As a co-founder of Score4more Inc., I take pride in organizing the renowned "Save R Streets" basketball tournament for the past 15 years. Beyond basketball, I actively engage in football and conduct basketball skills and drills for high school athletes. My ultimate goal is to introduce the youth of Boston to a wide array of sports, fostering their passion and growth.
