Jamaica Pond Boathouse Study

This project is a Programming and Feasibility Study to investigate how the City of Boston should repair, renovate and/or add to:

• the existing historic Jamaica Pond Boathouse building, and
• the adjacent Bandstand (which also houses the Jamaica Pond Nature Center).

Accessibility improvements have recently been completed in the plaza surrounding these two historic structures. However, we need additional accessibility and code related assessments of the area and buildings. The study will provide the City with the necessary detailed information, design approach, estimated construction costs and recommendations. That information will allow us to make an informed decision for the future of the Jamaica Pond Boathouse and Bandstand.
