The park is home to the Tito Puente music series and a huge part of the local culture. The Parks Department is excited to work on this project and be able to create a park that reinforces the strong connection to the community and culture of the South End. Improvements to this park will include:

  • a complete playground renovation with a 0-2, 2-5, and 5-12 structure
  • adding inclusive play, pedestrian lighting, and rubber safety surfacing, and
  • renovations to the basketball court and multi-use court.

The scope includes upgrading the utilities and electrical infrastructure. We want to accommodate desired community cultural programming, such as dancing and concerts. The construction budget is $2,300,000.
