Franklin Park Pathway Improvements

We made a multi-phased $5 million investment in the revitalization and rehabilitation of pathways and entrances in this highly used Emerald Necklace park. The park was established in 1883. The project budget is $5,000,000.

    The proposed project includes renovations to selected pathways including the drive and path between the Shattuck Hospital, Franklin Park Yard and the golf course parking lot. Pathways surrounding Scarboro Pond will also be included in the renovation. The design process will continue through the Spring of 2017, including an additional community meeting. Construction is anticipated to begin Summer 2017.
