Improvements to William F. Flaherty Playground

| Park Established 1925 |

Flaherty Playground has lovely mature trees, two playgrounds for ages 5-12 and 2-5, a large open performance/plaza area, and lots of seating in the shade.

First we had a pause in our design process, where Parks held extended conversations with community members; then we received requests from other agencies to upgrade utilities. Now that we've received confirmation of sufficient funding, our project is moving again. We plan on going out to bid in summer, and starting construction in Fall 2024. Sorry for the bumpy process! Please check back in for updates. We will post when we've hired our contractor and have a confirmed construction start date, and then we will post monthly construction updates.
