Improvements to Garvey Playground

The park renovations will be moving from the design phase to the construction phase in mid-September. The project was bid and the contractor will be Fleming Bros. 

The project includes:

• a 2- to 5-year-old playground and 5- to 12-year-old playground
• an artificial turf field that includes Babe Ruth baseball, men's and women's lacrosse, and flag football,
• a basketball court and a street hockey court, and
• a dog park, shade structure, and field house terrace. 

The field, basketball court, and street hockey court will be lit. The field and street hockey will have scoreboards.  Trees and planted areas will be added to the park.
