Construction is underway at Dorchester Park. Our contractor is currently working in several areas of the park that require new concrete installation, including ADA-accessible entrance ramps and/or stairs at Dorchester Avenue, Richmond Street, Richview Street, and near the softball field.

Once this work is complete, crews will begin repaving the existing asphalt paths that run through the park.

To minimize disruptions, our construction plan is designed to keep as much of the park open as possible. No more than one entrance will be closed at a time, and access to the playground, courts, and ballfields will remain open throughout the project.

  • Project features: Improved pathways, accessible entrances
  • Construction budget: $1,700,000
  • Consultant: Ray Dunetz Landscape Architecture
  • Contractor: Lorusso Corp.
