Fitness Class Descriptions

BARRE FUSION

Barre Fusion is a custom curated class designed to build functional total body strength, balance, stamina and muscle control. This dynamic workout blends the grace of ballet with the burn of strength training for unparalleled results that enhance posture, flexibility, and muscle tone, leaving you stronger.

BOTA FOGO dance fitness

BotaFogo, meaning “to set on fire”, is a great workout that combines dance and fitness all in one. Much like other dance fitness programs, it involves cardio and some strength training. Bota Fogo utilizes visual cues making it more accessible to both Deaf and hearing dancers. Come break a sweat to the sounds of Brazilian music genres such as Samba, funk, pagode, and more. The best part is, it doesn’t require previous dance experience! Just follow the instructor and have fun!

chair yoga

A gentle form of yoga that can be done seated or standing on the ground while using a chair for support. Focus on opening all the joints and loosening up tight muscles.

Dance fit

Get ready to move, groove, and sweat with our HIIT Dance Cardio! This high-energy, full-body workout blends traditional HIIT with dance cardio for a fun and effective fitness experience. No matter what your fitness level is, this class is designed to meet you where you are. Optional equipment can be used to enhance the workout, but all you need is your energy and enthusiasm to join in! Burn fat, build strength, and boost your overall quality of life—all while dancing to the beat!

ENDURANCE & STRENGTH FOR ALL AGES

Bring the whole crew and feel the power! This energizing outdoor class blends heart-pumping cardio with Pilates-style sculpting moves to build strength, stamina, and total-body tone. Designed for all ages and fitness levels, we’ll move to the vibrant rhythms of West Indies beats and more—boosting energy, confidence, and connection through movement. Whether you’re chasing fitness goals or just chasing your kids, this class is your summer vibe!

HIIT

High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT) alternates between short, intense periods of cardiovascular activity and brief recovery periods. The combination of strength and cardio movements will boost your heart rate and modifications will be offered for every fitness level.

latin fusion DANCE

Join instructor Lena Rose for a fun and exciting Latin Fusion class. Latin Fusion is a mix of fun and energetic dance styles from different parts of Latin America. Each class will have a focus on Salsa, Merengue, Bachata, Cha Cha, Rumba, Cumbia, and/or Reggaeton. All levels welcome!

lINE DANCING

Line dancing is a fun activity that has all the necessary elements to improve cardiovascular health. The Rhythm Riders rotate moving from high to low impact line dances, so whether you want to get ready for the spring, upcoming weddings, family reunions or simply discover a fun new way to get moving again they have the moves for you! We are all too familiar with the Electric Slide and the Cupid Shuffle, please allow them to take you on a musical journey as you learn new line dances. So come let the rhythm move you, because a body in Motion, stays in Motion!

strength and balance

Join Jacqui for an hour of movement focused on strength building as well as balance and coordination.

Participants will be utilizing chairs, light hand weights and exercise balls to build muscle, strengthen hand and eye coordination as well as have fun. Exercises are intended to mimic every day uses to keep an active and independent lifestyle. Music and light meditation are also included.

Yoga

This class will bring you through postures to align, strengthen, and promote flexibility in the body. Taught by Not Your Average Yoga teacher, you will be able to strengthen the body and the mind as you realize your spirit, impact, and self-worth. Classes will incorporate coping skills along with relaxation techniques.

zumba

We take the "work" out of workout, by mixing low-intensity and high-intensity moves for an interval-style, calorie-burning dance fitness party. Once the Latin and World rhythms take over, you'll see why Zumba Fitness classes are often called exercise in disguise. Super effective? Check. Super fun? Check and check. A total workout, Zumba combines all elements of fitness:

  • cardio
  • muscle conditioning
  • balance and flexibility
  • boosted energy, and
  • a serious dose of awesome each time you leave class
