Immigrant Youth Advancement

A leadership and work-readiness program for immigrant students

We want to ensure our City's youth all have the same personal and professional development opportunities. The Immigrant Youth Advancement Program, formerly the Dreamers Fellowship, provides leadership training and hands-on experience to immigrant youth regardless of immigration status.

UPDATE!

MOIA is now accepting applications for nonprofit organizations to offer work experience opportunities to immigrant youth. Organizations must provide leadership development and professional skill attainment in a culturally and linguistically sensitive manner.  To apply and learn more, please review the 2025 Spring Immigrant Youth Advancement (IYA) Program - Grant Application here

Eligible youth can fill out the interest form. We will notify youth via email once youth applications for the Spring 2025 session become available. The application is expected to open by late March 2025.

We invite immigrant youth, their families, and youth-serving organizations to get our newsletter to stay informed and connect with our office. Sign up for our newsletter here!
