Hannah Avila

Legal Access Project Manager

As the Legal Access Project Manager, Hannah works to expand access to legal services for immigrants in Boston and is responsible for guiding MOIA's strategic vision to help build up capacity to respond to the growing need for legal assistance.

She has experience serving immigrants directly, working across nonprofit organizations to connect people with legal services and other needed resources. Prior to joining the Mayor’s Office for Immigrant Advancement, Hannah was the Immigration Services Intake Coordinator at JVS Boston and led the Boston Community Welcome Project from an 18-month pilot into full program implementation.

Hannah holds a Bachelor's in Fine Arts and a Minor in Global Health from the University of Washington. She is proficient in Spanish.
