The City of Boston has issued a Draft Five-Year Consolidated Plan (2024-2028) and a one-year Action Plan for an estimated $143 million in funds from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).

After a robust citizen engagement effort, the City of Boston has issued our draft plans for the use of an estimated $143 million in grant funds from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for the next five years. The City proposes using the funding for various  housing, homelessness, and community development programs that serve low- to moderate-income Boston residents through these HUD programs:

  • Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)
  • HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME)
  • Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG)
  • Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA)

The draft plans, linked below, will be available for public comment through June 14, 2024.
