Selection Process
- Eligible residents who are 55 or older AND live in one of the City's neighborhoods with the highest food insecurity (Roxbury, Dorchester, Mattapan, East Boston) will receive 40% of the coupons.
- Another 30% of coupons will go to eligible applicants of any age who live in a high food insecurity neighborhood.
- The remaining 30% of coupons are open to all eligible residents who applied. Those applicants who meet a priority criteria but weren’t chosen for the first 70% of coupon slots are still eligible for a chance at receiving one of these remaining coupons. Every eligible applicant has a chance of receiving a coupon.
- Applicants who are not selected will be placed on a waitlist, and if any coupons become unclaimed or available, they will be offered to waitlisted applicants in the order they were drawn.
