Stephen Ellis
Stephen Ellis is the Director of Data Analytics at Boston University Sustainability. In this role, Stephen oversees data collection, analysis, and reporting on a range of topics, including greenhouse gases, energy, waste, green buildings, and transportation, ultimately ensuring that BU progresses toward its goal of achieving net carbon neutrality by 2040. On the national level, Stephen also serves on The Sustainability Tracking, Assessment & Rating System (STARS) Steering Committee a part of the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE).
Stephen has a deep passion for diversity, equity, and inclusion and served as the inaugural Vice-Chair of BU's Faculty and Staff of Color Community Network and is a current member of the Intersectional Climate Action Leaders Working Group at Second Nature. He has received his Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science from the University at Albany, SUNY, Master's in Natural Resources and Sustainable Development at the University for Peace in Costa Rica, and a Master's degree in International Affairs from American University.
