Sarah Yates

Energy Advocate

Sarah Yates helps expand access to energy-saving solutions in Boston through her role in the City’s Mass Save Community First Partnership. The Partnership is an initiative sponsored by National Grid and Eversource to provide energy efficiency solutions to residents and small business owners. Sarah helps strategize and implement outreach initiatives to increase participation in the program and guide community members through the sign-up process.

Prior to joining the Environment Department, Sarah worked to increase food access in Boston by managing mobile market operations throughout the City. One of her favorite parts about working with mobile markets was the opportunity to connect with residents and meet people within the context of their community. She hopes to continue making these connections as the Energy Advocate.

Sarah graduated from Wheaton College (MA) with B.A. in Environmental Science and Economics with Magna Cum Laude Honors. There, she spent three years managing the community garden, planning outreach events focused around food justice and sustainability for college students.
