Reginald 'Reggie' Stovell Jr
Reginald “Reggie” Stovell Jr is a member and long-term Board Member of New England United 4 Justice (NEU4J). At NEU4J, he has helped guide their work organizing at the grassroots level for healthy neighborhoods, development without displacement, and good jobs for more than 15 years. As part of that work, Reggie has represented NEU4J on the Green Justice Coalition, a partnership convened by Community Labor United to advance environmental and economic justice and a just transition to a sustainable economy, and since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic has served on the Food Justice arm of NEU4J.
As a member of the Dorchester community, Reginald has lived experience of environmental justice issues. He has witnessed first hand the disproportionate toll of environmental illnesses in communities like Roxbury, Dorchester, and Mattapan. Reggie is a retired MBTA Machinist First Class, has served as a City of Boston Constable for two terms, and has been an active member of his church for more than 24 years.
