Diana Vasquez
Diana is part of the City’s Carbon Neutrality team and works directly with the BERDO Review Board in its mission to equitably implement the Building Emissions Reduction and Disclosure Ordinance (BERDO). BERDO aims to ensure that Boston’s large buildings achieve net-zero emissions by 2050. Diana and the Board work together to ensure that all communities across the City are supported and benefit from a carbon-free future.
Prior to joining the Environment Department, Diana worked as a Workers Memorial Report Fellow with MassCOSH performing real-time tracking of occupational injury and fatality data, and as a NIOSH occupational health intern at the Boston Teachers Union. She's also worked in science communication for several years at the Union of Concerned Scientists. Diana earned her Master’s of Public Health in Environmental Health from Boston University and Bachelor’s Degrees in Sociology and Political Science from North Carolina State University. In her free time, Diana enjoys hiking and visiting the Institute of Contemporary Art when she can, and is a proud daughter of immigrant parents from Nicaragua.
