Tim Mathis
Tim Mathis brings over a decade of experience in public finance, encompassing budget development, auditing, procurement, and strategic planning. Most recently, Tim served as Director of Finance for the Boston Planning and Development Agency, where he led the transition of finance functions to the City, supporting the establishment of the new Planning Department. Under his leadership, the BPDA Finance team implemented key performance metrics for procurement activities, improved data and reporting for supplier diversity, and established a strategy to identify and manage funding for the agency's capital projects.
Previously, Tim worked with the Louisiana State Legislature, contributing to the successful passage of balanced state budgets for nine consecutive fiscal years. At the Legislative Fiscal Office, he led a team of analysts in publishing fiscal analyses of proposed legislation and reporting on the multibillion-dollar education budget spanning K-12 to higher education. Tim holds degrees in Philosophy and Political Science, as well as a Master of Public Administration from Louisiana State University.
