Audit Committee of the City of Boston

The Audit Committee was created by Chapter 190, § 14 of the Acts of 1982. The five-member committee is appointed by the Mayor, subject to the confirmation of the City Council.

We oversee the City's external and internal audit activities. We meet at least once each quarter with the City's external auditors to review the progress of the City's annual audit.

Once a year, we present an annual assessment of the activities of the committee and the Mayor.
