Public Works Street Lighting Performance Dashboard

We developed a Power BI dashboard that centralizes data from multiple systems, providing the team with clear, actionable insights into operations and performance.

Public Works Street Lighting was the first Basic City Services team to go live in Creatio (the city’s new CRM) and BEAM (the city’s asset management system). To support this transition, the Analytics team developed a Power BI dashboard that centralizes data from Lagan (the previous CRM), Creatio, and BEAM, providing the team with improved visibility into operations and performance.

THE CHALLENGE

Basic City Services teams are frequently asked to report on their work (e.g., number of cases opened, average time to close). However, the transition to new systems made it difficult to access and consolidate data across multiple sources. At the same time, Creatio and BEAM introduced a new level of detailed data collection that had not previously been available, creating both an opportunity and a challenge in effectively leveraging this information.

THE SOLUTION

To address this need, we created a centralized, “one-stop” dashboard for the team that brings together data from all systems and provides clear visibility into team operations. This enables staff to better understand their work, identify opportunities for improvement, and streamline processes — ultimately supporting more efficient service delivery and a better experience for city residents.

THE OUTCOME

The dashboard has been completed and shared with team leadership, who are already using it to inform data-driven decisions and improve operational processes. In late May, we will conduct a teamwide demo to walk staff through how to interpret and effectively use the dashboard, ensuring broader adoption and impact.
