Nolan Brown

Performance Coach

As one of the City of Boston's first Performance Coaches, Nolan works to empower municipal employees to make simple improvements to their daily work. These small changes make their lives, and their constituents' lives, better. He helped found Bostonia Academy, Boston's first dedicated Process Improvement Training program, and consults with departments across the city to eliminate waste throughout their work.

Nolan graduated from Northeastern University in 2023 with a degree in Industrial Engineering, and has process improvement experience at both Raytheon and Boston Children's Hospital. He's passionate about building more process improvement infrastructure throughout the public sector, especially across all levels of government, and democratizing process improvement concepts to as many people as possible. He's seen process improvement thrive in the manufacturing and healthcare industries, and is working to make sure the public sector is the next success story.

In his free time, Nolan enjoys experimenting with different cuisines, playing intramural sports, painting, and is an avid board gamer. He can often be found reading on the T, listening to a podcast at the park, or cheering on the Red Sox.
