Terron Worrell

Deputy Director of Boston 311

Terron Worrell is a lifelong resident of Boston, he was born and raised in Roxbury and attended high school at Boston Latin Academy, where his love and appreciation for his city–and community–began. As he has developed professionally, Worrell has realized the best way to service his community is by taking on a role that directly impacts and improves his city.

Worrell has a myriad of extensive professional tenures within customer-centric and people-focused roles. He served at many city hospitals and community healthcare facilities, including Boston Medical Center (BMC) as a Patient Financial Counselor, Brigham & Women’s Hospital, Pyramid Builders Counseling Services, Boston's first Black mental health clinic, and Codman Square Community Health Center.

Within his role at BMC, where he served for 10+ years, he provided advocacy and assistance to the underinsured and/or uninsured patient population, helping them navigate the healthcare financial system. Further, he has a wonderful blend of leadership and frontline employee experience within electric and gas utilities. He worked at Eversource initially as a Customer Service Representative and later as a Supervisor of Customer Billing and Accounting for more than five years.

Worrell is passionate about family and community and traveling to learn about other cultures and communities. He also has a proclivity for written and oral poetry (spoken word). In his spare time, he enjoys crafting his creativity with poetry.
