Patriots Super Bowl victory parade

The City of Boston will host a duck boat parade Tuesday to celebrate the Patriots' Super Bowl LIII victory over the Los Angeles Rams.

The parade will kick off Tuesday, February 5, at 11 a.m. from the Hynes Convention Center.

Due to the warm weather, we're expecting a lot of people at the parade. If you plan to go, consider using public transportation, and please celebrate responsibly.

Parade route and traffic restrictions

The parade route is Boylston Street (at Hereford Street), left onto Tremont Street to Cambridge Street, ending on Cambridge Street.

We will close these streets to traffic at about 9 a.m.:

  • Boylston Street, Massachusetts Avenue to Tremont Street
  • Tremont Street, Boylston Street to Court Street
  • Cambridge Street, Court Street to New Chardon Street

What time we re-open traffic will depend on the size of the crowd. We'll re-open each street after people leave and we get a chance to clean up. We expect to re-open Boylston Street first, followed by Tremont Street and then Cambridge Street.

Accessibility

Viewing areas

The City will have two accessible viewing areas for people with disabilities during the parade:

  1. Copley Square, on Boylston Street next to Trinity Church from the Copley MBTA station
  2. City Hall Plaza (along Cambridge Street), next to the Government Center MBTA stop.

People with mobility disabilities, temporary disabilities, and those with sensory issues are welcome to use these viewing areas. Please arrive early and check-in with event staff.

Getting to the parade

Parking will be limited, so please consider taking public transportation.

If you must drive to attend the parade, we recommend parking in the Government Center Garage. You can enter the garage from New Chardon Street.

Getting to City Hall Plaza viewing area

We expect a lot of people on Tremont Street. For that reason, the best way to reach the viewing area on City Hall Plaza is from Congress Street.

There is a brick ramp next to the stairs on the north side of City Hall on Congress Street. Walk up the ramp or stairs and go straight across City Hall Plaza to the Cambridge Street side. The accessible viewing area will be directly in front of you. There will be signs designating this area.
