Heat Advisory in Boston
/
With temperatures expected to range from 95 - 98°F, Mayor Wu issued a heat advisory for Thursday, August 6, through Saturday, August 8.

Boston Winter Express

Come celebrate the joys of winter at seasonal pop-ups across Boston.

This year, Mayor Michelle Wu has created the Boston Winter Express, a new effort to safely bring Bostonians together outdoors during the winter months. The goal is to:

  • foster community
  • support our main streets businesses, and
  • combat the pandemic and social isolation.

The Boston Winter Express will include pop-up public spaces in neighborhoods across Boston. There will be free outdoor artistic performances, book giveaways, complimentary hot drinks, and more. These events will spread winter joy across Boston and lift up our small business community in Main Street districts. We will particularly be supporting neighborhoods that have been hard hit by COVID-19.
