City Nature Challenge at Condor Street Urban Wild
Join the Urban Wilds Program and National Park Service staff in the City Nature Challenge, an international competition among cities to document the most wildlife. You will explore this shoreline and help us to identify shellfish, crabs, and all sorts of other animals and plants.
The Urban Wilds Program and the National Park Service need your help! Come join us in “an international effort for people to find and document plants and wildlife in cities across the globe. It’s a competition where cities are in a friendly contest with each other to see who can make the most observations of nature, who can find the most species, and who can engage the most people”. We will focus on exploring the plants and animals of this salt marsh as well as the surrounding rocky shore and upper grassland. The species information we find will be helpful in guiding additional restoration efforts at this Urban Wild.
