Project Goals

Imani House consists of 9 units of elder housing with a contract from the BHA for 8 of the units and has been struggling with escalating costs and stagnant rents. United Housing Management is the property manager and they recently successfully applied for and negotiated a substantial rent increase from the BHA to help cover the operations and provide funding to support the existing debt, maintain the required debt coverage required and build up a replacement reserve that can be assessed for planned improvements. DND has agreed to an award of funds under DND's Housing Boston 2030 Program in order to refinance and preserve the Imani House.
