Project Goals

Blue Hill Avenue Action Plan Goals: The goal for the Blue Hill Avenue Action Plan is to spark economic development, business growth opportunities, and foster the entrepreneurial spirit in the community. We plan to achieve this goal through the disposition and development of 30 city-owned vacant parcels totaling approximately 97,000 square feet across the corridor. Possible uses for these parcels include residential, commercial, retail, office space, community uses, and open space. This effort includes working with members of the community, local organizations, and elected officials. In addition to partnering with the Office of Economic Development, PLAN: Mattapan, and Blue Hill Avenue Transportation Action Plan.

This is an undeveloped lot owned by the City of Boston’s Department of Neighborhood Development.

The Department of Neighborhood Development acquires surplus and foreclosed property and is responsible for managing this real estate. We work to create housing and open space by making that land available to Bostonians over time through a public Request for Proposals process. This parcel of land is not yet planned for development, but stay tuned!
