Project Goals

The Angell-Spencer Neighborhood Homes project is a consolidation of two separate NHI projects: Angell/Lorne and Spencer/Helen/Norwell. Together, the project consists of 12 parcels (each package consisting 6 parcels) of vacant city-owned land being developed into new owner-occupied homeownership opportunities as part of the City of Boston's Neighborhood Homes Initiative, which uses City-owned land to create affordable homeownership opportunities for middle-class homebuyers. After a thorough review process, including community input, The Boston Partnership of Community Reinvestment, Inc. received tentative designation to develop the parcels. The project has begun construction with projected completion in late Spring of 2023.
