Project Goals

This approximately 2,800 sq. ft parcel has been in use under license for urban agriculture for several years. There is interest in permanently preserving the site as open space, including continued use for urban agriculture. DND held a community process in fall 2020 and feedback was positive. A Request for Proposals was issued in February 2021. One proposal was received and is under review.

This is an undeveloped lot owned by the City of Boston’s Department of Neighborhood Development.

The Department of Neighborhood Development acquires surplus and foreclosed property and is responsible for managing this real estate. We work to create housing and open space by making that land available to Bostonians over time through a public Request for Proposals process. This parcel of land is not yet planned for development, but stay tuned!
