Project Goals

2500 sq ft parcel in a 3F-6000 zone. Size and dimensions are not right for development, and the parcel would function best as yard space for abutters at owner-occupied 9 Chipman. It appears to already be serving as such, being fenced into their property. Paved area would be good for parking, and abutter might have interest for that reason. Abutting properties reasonably assessed for the neighborhood.

This is an undeveloped lot owned by the City of Boston’s Department of Neighborhood Development.

The Department of Neighborhood Development acquires surplus and foreclosed property and is responsible for managing this real estate. We work to create housing and open space by making that land available to Bostonians over time through a public Request for Proposals process. This parcel of land is not yet planned for development, but stay tuned!
