Boston's Cannabis Industry Hub

Last updated:

Cannabis is Complex. Access Shouldn't Be.

Cannabis Ecosystem

The City of Boston is committed to empowering residents, entrepreneurs, patients, and adult consumers with the knowledge and resources needed to understand, engage with, and navigate Boston’s cannabis landscape.

Whether you are starting a cannabis business, exploring career opportunities, learning about patient access, seeking clarity on local regulations and compliance, or simply looking for reliable information, this hub serves as a central resource for all things cannabis in Boston.

Boston’s approach to cannabis is grounded in an understanding of the lasting harm caused by cannabis prohibition and the War on Drugs. While these policies shaped enforcement and economic outcomes across all communities, data consistently shows that Black, Brown, and low-income neighborhoods experienced disproportionate enforcement, incarceration, and exclusion from economic opportunity in which the impacts that persist today.
