Faneuil Hall Paving Stones Repair

The City of Boston acting by its Public Facilities Commission, through its Director of the Public Facilities Department, 2 Center Plaza, Boston MA 02108, hereinafter referred to as the Awarding Authority, hereby invites sealed bids for the above-entitled project.  Bids shall be on a form supplied by the Public Facilities Department, be clearly identified as a bid, completely filled in, signed by the bidder, and enclosed in a sealed envelope plainly marked with the Project Name and Project Number. All bids for this project are subject to current provisions of Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 30, section 39M as amended; and to the terms and provisions of the contract documents entitled Faneuil Hall Paving Stones Repair project.

The scope of work is further detailed in the specifications and includes removing and replacing granite pavers and subbase along with providing an accessible path to the existing ramp. Resetting existing cobblestone adjacent to paver replacement.

Project Location:  One Faneuil Hall Square, Boston, MA 02109

Expected contract duration is for 90 days. Prevailing wages shall apply.

General contractors must submit all general bids with the Awarding Authority at the Bid Counter, 2 Center Plaza, Suite 700 Boston, MA 02108, on or before 12:00 p.m. on March 13, 2024 at which time and place respective general bids will be opened forthwith and read aloud in person and virtually.

Bidders are hereby notified that bid deposits must be 5% of his/her bid and shall be in the form of a bid bond, certified check, treasurer’s check, or cashier’s check and made payable to the City of Boston.

A payment bond satisfactory to the Awarding Authority, of a surety company licensed to do business under the laws of the Commonwealth and included in the U.S. Treasury current list of approved sureties (See Circular 570), in the sum of 50% of the contract price will be required of the successful bidder.

Plans and specifications are only available electronically and by requesting access for such through bid.info@boston.gov and will be available on or about February 26, 2024 at 9 a.m.

Deadline for questions: March 6, 2024.  All questions must be submitted in writing directly to bid.info@boston.gov
