Henderson Schoolyard Improvements

The City of Boston acting by its Public Facilities Commission, through its Director of the Public Facilities Department, 2 Center Plaza, Boston MA 02108, hereinafter referred to as the Awarding Authority, hereby invites sealed bids for the above-entitled project. Bids shall be on a form. supplied by the Public Facilities Department, be clearly identified as a bid, completely filled in, signed by the bidder and enclosed in a sealed envelope plainly marked with the Project Name and Project Number. All bids for this project are subject to current provisions of Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 30, section 39M as amended, and to the terms and provisions of the contract. documents entitled Henderson Schoolyard Improvements project.

The scope of work is further detailed in the specifications and includes installation of a new playground.

Site Visit scheduled for February 15, 2024, at 9:15 – 10:15 a.m. at: 18 Cortland Avenue, Dorchester, MA 02124.

Expected contract duration is for 180 days. Prevailing wages shall apply.

General contractors must submit all general bids with the Awarding Authority at the Bid Counter, 2 Center Plaza, Suite 700 Boston, MA 02108, on or before 12:00 p.m. on February 28, 2024, at which time and place respective general bids shall be opened and read aloud in person and virtually. See www.boston.gov/departments/public-facilities for more information. All are invited to attend.

Bids must be accompanied by a 5% bid bond deposit of the amount bid. *All interested bidders are direct to the bid specifications and plans for full information on any and all requirements applicable to this bid.

A payment bond satisfactory to the Awarding Authority, will be required of the successful bidder. See plans. and specifications for further details.

Plans and specifications are only available electronically and by requesting access for such through. bid.info@boston.gov and will be available on or about February 12, 2024, at 12:00 p.m.

Deadline for questions: February 21, 2024. All questions must be submitted in writing. directly to bid.info@boston.gov.
