MECHANICAL SERVICES (PLUMBING, HVAC & RELATED WORK) FOR PUBLIC WORKS BUILDINGS & BRIDGES ON AN AS-NEEDED BASIS

The work to be done under this contract consists of mechanical work refers to all HVAC, plumbing, and related work. The Contractor shall make the necessary mechanical repairs, as well as other miscellaneous repairs, for the City of Boston buildings and structures, on an as needed basis. This Invitation for Bids will be awarded pursuant to M.G.L. Chapter 149, Sections 44A-44J.

General Bids will be valid only when accompanied by (1) a Certificate of Eligibility issued by DCAMM, showing that contractor has been approved in Mechanical Systems (HVAC & Plumbing) to bid on projects the size and nature of that advertised, and (2) an Updated Statement summarizing the general contractor’s record for the period between the latest DCAMM Certification and the date the general contractor submits its bid. The bonding requirement for this job is 5% Bid Deposit, 100% Payment Bond and 100% Performance Bond.

Every Sealed bid shall be submitted in accordance with the Invitation for Bids and shall be filed not later than Thursday, April 17, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. via the City’s Supplier Portal at boston.gov/supplierportal. 

Sealed bids shall be opened read aloud through a virtual meeting (meet.google.com/fha-mcnd-zas) by the Official on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Boston City Hall, Department of Public Works Contracts Unit, Room 714, One City Hall Plaza, Boston, MA 02201.
