OVERHEAD DOOR MAINTENANCE & REPAIR SERVICES FOR PUBLIC WORKS BUILDINGS ON AN AS-NEEDED BASIS

The work to be done under this contract consists of providing the necessary work to overhead doors at City of Boston buildings and structures, on an as-needed basis. The contractor shall obtain the necessary permits to do the repair work, from any agency having jurisdiction over the project. This Invitation for Bids will be awarded pursuant to M.G.L. Chapter 149, Sections 44A-44J.

General Bids will be valid only when accompanied by (1) a Certified of Eligibility issued by DCAMM, showing that the contractor has been approved in Overhead Door Construction to bid on projects the size and nature of that advertised, and (2) an Update Statement summarizing  the general contractor’s record for the period between the latest DCAMM certification and the date the general contractor submits its bid. The bonding requirement for this job is 5% Bid Deposit, 100% Payment Bond and 100% Performance Bond.

Every Sealed bid shall be submitted in accordance with the Invitation for Bids and shall be filed not later than Thursday, April 17, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. via the City’s Supplier Portal at boston.gov/supplierportal. 

Sealed bids shall be opened read aloud through a virtual meeting (meet.google.com/tpt-qnoh-xer) by the Official on Thursday, April 17, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Boston City Hall, Department of Public Works Contracts Unit, Room 714, One City Hall Plaza, Boston, MA 02201.
