Maintenance to Electrical and Mechanical Equipment for Drawbridges

The City of Boston, acting by its Commissioner, invites sealed bids for the performance of the work generally described above, and particularly set forth in the Invitation For Bids.

Bid package may be obtained by visiting the Supplier Portal at boston.gov/supplierportal and searching for Event ID EV00013972, commencing at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, April 1, 2024

Any contractor that intends on bidding on this project must be pre-qualified with the Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) in the category of Drawbridge Maintenance.

THE MASSACHUSETTS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION (MASSDOT) HAS PROVIDED A LIST TO THE BOSTON PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT OF APPROVED ELIGIBLE BIDDERS FOR THIS PROJECT.  ONLY THOSE CONTRACTORS ON THIS LIST MAY OFFICIALLY SUBMIT BID DOCUMENTS.  ALL OTHERS MAY REVIEW BID DOCUMENTS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY.

A 5% Bid Bond is required with the submission of each bid. 

Every Sealed bid shall be submitted in accordance with the Invitation for Bids and shall be filed not later than Thursday, April 18, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. via the City’s Supplier Portal at boston.gov/supplierportal or emailed to stephen.flaherty@boston.gov with the email subject EV00013972 COB Drawbridge Maintenance. 

Sealed Bids shall be opened and read aloud through a virtual meeting held by the Official, Public Works on Thursday, April 18, 2024 at 1:00 p.m. at Boston City Hall, Boston, MA. Interested parties will be able to view the event live through a link provided by Public Works, upon receiving your bid submission.
