Reception Rental of Venue and Catering

The City of Boston (“the City”), acting through its Chief of Economic Opportunity and Inclusion on behalf of the Office of Tourism, Sports, and Entertainment, invites competitive sealed bids for a large event venue rental and catering within .25 miles of the Boston Convention and Exhibition Center (BCEC) to host a reception during the NAACP Conference that will be free and open to the public. 

The reception will consist of Live Music and Entertainment and passed hors-d'oeuvres, and can accommodate 4,000 attendees with multiple spaces for themed celebrations on Saturday, July 29, 2023. 

Please refer to details as set forth in the Invitation for Bids Documents (“IFB”).  

The IFB shall be available from 9:00 AM on Monday, June 26, 2023 from the City’s Supplier Portal at boston.gov/supplierportal (Bid Event EV00012639). This contract is procured under the provisions of M.G.L. c. 30B, § 6.

Proposals are due no later than 4:00 PM on Friday, July 7, 2023 via the City’s Supplier Portal at boston.gov/supplier Portal (Bid Event EV00012639). Refer to the IFB for complete information on the submission process and details.

The contract will be awarded to the responsive and responsible bidder offering the lowest price for the services specified in the IFB. The City of Boston reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
