Boston Eats at Open Meal Sites

The Office of Food Justice (OFJ) is seeking proposals to administer the federally-funded Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) at non-Boston Public Schools, open-meal sites in the City of Boston.

The vendor will work closely with SFSP sites in Boston to ensure that the sites are run smoothly and in compliance with state and federal funds, that reporting is complete, and most importantly, that as many youths as possible receive healthy, culturally appropriate meals at these sites. vendor will develop a clear system for supporting sites to troubleshoot any challenges that come up, and to provide a clear set of contacts for reporting and support. 

The initial term of the contract will be one year. The City reserves the right to exercise, at the City’s sole discretion, additional contract periods and services as set forth under the RFP. A total of $375,000 over three years is available for this program. 

The Boston Eats at Open Meal Sites RFP will be available beginning Monday May 1st, 2023 may be obtained by visiting the Supplier Portal at boston.gov/procurement and searching for EV00012310. If you are unable to access this RFP, please contact the Director of the Office of Food Justice. A virtual applicant conference will be held on Thursday, May 11th, 9-10am. 

Completed RFP responses must be submitted electronically by May 25, 2023, no later than 5:00pm.
