Enterprise Energy Management System
The City of Boston (the “City”), acting by and through its Commissioner of Environment (the “Official”), requests proposals from qualified businesses, persons or entities (“Vendors”) to provide an Enterprise Energy Management System (EEMS) which will deliver high-quality energy and emissions data tracking to provide visibility into energy performance, accurate reporting of the City’s progress towards GHG reduction goals, verification of utility bill charges, and the identification of actionable energy conservation measures (the “RFP”).
The RFP may be obtained after 12 o’clock noon (ET) on February 7, 2022 at the City’s Supplier Portal (www.boston.gov/departments/procurement) under Event ID EV00010207. This RFP is being issued pursuant to the authority of M.G.L. c.30B sec. 6.
Vendors must submit their proposals electronically via the City’s Supplier Portal no later than 4 o’clock PM (ET) on March 22, 2022. Proposals must be submitted in conformance with the provisions of the RFP.
Should the City execute a contract pursuant to the RFP, the term of the contract may be for any one of the following terms, to be determined at the City’s sole discretion: for one year, with two options to renew the contract for additional one-year periods; for two years with one option to renew the contract for an additional one-year period; or for three years, with no option for renewal. Options to renew the contract, if any, will be exercisable at the City’s sole discretion.
The City and the Official reserve the right to waive any defects, or informalities, to accept or reject any or all proposals, or any part or parts thereof, or to cancel the RFP, if the City deems it to be in the best interests of the City to do so.
