The City of Boston (“the City”), acting through its Commissioner of Transportation, invites bids for the installation, repair, and removal of bicycle racks at various locations throughout the City. This contract is procured under the provisions of Chapter 30, Section 39M of the Massachusetts General Laws and is subject to the Prevailing Wage Rates.

The “IFB” shall be available on the City of Boston website at boston.gov/supplierportal (Bid Event EV00009591) beginning at 10:00 am, EST, on Monday, August 9, 2021. Completed documents must be signed and submitted electronically to the above bid event number containing all sections and pages of the "IFB" no later than 12:00 pm on Monday, August 23, 2021.

Bids must be accompanied by a bid deposit in the form of a bid bond in the amount of five (5%) percent of the bid amount. Bids must also be accompanied by a payment bond in the sum of fifty percent (50%) of the bid amount, as security to guarantee the faithful performance of the contract. 

The term of the contract resulting from this “IFB” shall be for one year, with two optional one-year terms renewable at the City’s sole discretion.
