Improve social determinants of health for Bostonians. We center racial justice and the historically excluded constituencies we represent.
Theory of Change- Provide Equity and Inclusion services to other City agencies. The goal is to impact systemic change in policy, programs, and services.
- Execute targeted and intentional programming that improves quality of life for residents.
- Convene day-to-day residents and stakeholders. We want to build coalitions and trust between community and the City, and among lines of difference within community.
Our work is essential to the vision of our administration, we remain committed to being intentional, accessible, and results-driven.

City of Boston Equity Statement
The City of Boston has played a role in causing and perpetuating the inequities in our society. To break down these barriers, we are embedding equity and inclusion into everything we do.
We define equity as ensuring every community has the resources it needs to thrive in Boston. This requires the active process of meeting individuals where they are. Inclusion is engaging every resident to build a more welcoming and supportive city. We are building a city for everyone, where diversity makes us a more empowered collective.

Employee Resource Groups build community and belonging and make a positive impact in the lives of employees and residents.
Literacy Task Force
The task force will help the Mayor and the City of Boston improve literacy rates.

Increasing Voting Access within Incarceration
We are proud to announce our partnership with Healing Our Land Inc. Ministries to bolster voting educating and ensure equitable access to voting for pre-trial detainees and non-felony misdemeanor voters.
