White Stadium
The City is transforming White Stadium into a state-of-the-art athletic facility for Boston Public Schools (BPS) Athletics and a year-round, vibrant community hub for Franklin Park.
Originally built in 1949, the stadium has been a cornerstone for local athletes and community events. Now, through a once-in-a-generation public-private partnership with Boston Legacy Football Club (BLFC), it is undergoing major upgrades to improve access, safety, and programming.
The renovation will:
- Expand public access from 9 hours, 5-days a week to 15 hours daily, 7 days a week
- Add new indoor and outdoor athletic facilities, classrooms, and restrooms
- Support year-round youth sports and community events
This project honors the historic legacy of Franklin Park while creating new opportunities for Boston residents and students.
