Election

Our department directs all municipal, state, and federal elections within Boston. As part of our work, we also register voters, conduct an annual census, and educate the public on voting.

If you are a registered voter in Boston, you can vote by mail in all 2025 elections. You may submit your vote-by-mail application online through the Massachusetts Mail-in Ballot Application System:
